#ISIS posts a new forward command group to Egyptian Sinai – at Israel’s back door

For some time I have been warning about ISIS threat to Israel.  I believe they want to come through two front doors (Lebanon and Jordan).  This will happen after they have consolidated their position in Syria and Iraq.  The borders are more or less fixed along the northern front (Kurdistan) and eastern front (Shia territory).  Once Syria is fixed they will relocate their forces to the south.

The ISIS forces in the Sinai are dangerous for two reasons.  One, the present an additional threat to Israel; two, they threaten the Suez Canal; three, they divert Egyptian forces to the Sinai thus leaving southern and western Egypt as tribal no man’s land.  If they do the wrong allocation they are in danger of the Muslim Brotherhood again taking control.

Can you imagine a Brotherhood controlled Egypt with ISIS affiliation in the Sinai.  What can Israel do to deal with this threat?  Is there anything Obama will do?

Hat tip to the DEBKA file.
