Jordan moves forces away from Israeli border

Jordan has moved some of its security forces away from its border with Israel to beef up security on its Iraqi and Syrian frontier in recent weeks and months, according to Israeli defence officials.
Jordan finds itself in the midst of a regional firestorm due to the conflicts in neighbouring Iraq and Syria, where radical Sunni groups are trying to overthrow the governments. The growing presence of the Lebanese group Hizbullah and Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) in Syria will also likely be a concern for Amman.
Jordanian-Israeli security co-ordination remains intact, despite the redeployment, due to a quiet understanding of the shared interests each country has in the other’s stability
